Donation Class - Vinyasa Flow

This class is taught by:

Justina Davila

Justina began her journey into the world of yoga 15+ years ago. Initially, it began as time with friends and a new adventure as time went on it became a way to improve her life both physically and mentally. Her passion for yoga grew by her personal experience when yoga helped heal her heart, literally. With medical setbacks and continuing
recovery, yoga remained a constant part of her life. Stepping on to the mat after setbacks helped to teach her that obstacles can be overcome and life can be lived to the fullest. Mending her heart started by the breathe of yoga. The physical, mental and emotional benefits of yoga have continued to resonate with her and have become a way of life. Taking the next step she completed a yoga journey 200 hour RYT training under the guidance of Noell Clark. The big dream is to inspire students through yoga helping to improve and enhance each aspect of their life, paying it forward with others who are looking for a path to help find harmony in their heart.

Karena Davis

Karena is a native Canadian and started her yoga journey at age 4, although she didn’t realize it. As a dancer Karena was learning the significance of breath, proper alignment and the importance of being in the moment. Yoga seemed to be a part of her natural existence. After graduating with a degree in musical theatre, Karena moved down to sunny San Jose and took an opportunity in high tech software. Years later, she woke up one day realizing she no longer breathed properly or sat up straight. This greatly impacted her health and Karena knew she needed to get back to yoga. She wanted to include yoga in her life in a more profound way and decided to deepen her practice. Karena trained with Noell Clark Yoga and graduated in 2017 earning her 200 Hour Vinyasa Flow certificate. Karena is deeply grateful for that opportunity and is excited to share and to give back. Yoga inspires her to live each moment more mindfully and reminds her to always listen to her body. Karena teaches a Vinyasa Flow class and she loves to share inspiring quotes. Her classes have an emphasis on alignment and breath. Karena invites you to come put everything on hold and take your practice to new levels. Breathe your way to a better you. You’ll be happy you stopped by.

Lori Petropoulous

Lori is a Certified Vinyasa Yoga teacher and Massage Therapist living in the Bay Area. Her yoga journey began in 2007 and she has been a massage therapist since 2010. Upon moving to California from Pennsylvania, Lori completed her 200 hour RYT with Noell Clark in 2017. As both a massage therapist and yoga teacher, her mission is to facilitate joyful healing and the awakening of both inner peace and inner strength. In Lori's Vinyasa based yoga classes, you will find a focus on breath centered body awareness and hopefully some yogic lessons to take with you off the mat (and often savasana bonuses like a mini massage or some Reiki). She hopes to invoke in all of her students a sense of compassion, curiosity, and creativity.

Angela Arrivo

Angela is a certified Vinyasa Yoga teacher currently living in the Bay Area. Starting her Yoga journey in 2013, she quickly became intrigued with Yoga as a philosophy and as a way of life. Since then she has relocated from her hometown in the south suburbs of Chicago to northern California where she received her 200-hour RYT with Noell Clark in 2017. Angela's practice started as a desire for knowledge and has since grown into a passion for what she calls "giving the best gift you can give to yourself: Yoga". Off the mat, you can find Angela indulging in a stack of books, advocating her beliefs on a plant-based diet, or finding equanimity in nature & sunshine.

Michaela Scanlon

Michaela began practicing yoga during her junior year of college, a few months before a life changing trip to India where she taught yoga to children with special needs and worked for an incredible nonprofit called Prafull Oorja. Her practice remained a source of consistent joy throughout her senior year, especially towards the end, when it came time to decide what she was going to do. There was a teacher training being offered by a woman she deeply respected and connected with and it seemed like the natural next step to take. Michaela completed her 200 hour training with Noell Clark Yoga in March 2017 and believes that if you let it, yoga will open your mind to some incredible things. She is grateful to be here now, as a little yogi in a big world, to maybe meet, teach, or inspire you.

Isha Dwivedi

Isha comes from a land where Yoga originated, but her first encounter with yoga was only in her late 20's, when she accidentally stumbled upon a TV channel that aired yoga classes every morning. Soon after a few weeks of regular practice while watching the show, she realized that yoga is so much more than a physical practice. Isha started to explore other forms of yoga such as pranayama and meditation that helps connect to your inner self. With each yoga practice she was amazed with how her body and mind felt so calm and grounded. The more she learned from her practice the more she wanted to share with people around her and help them deal with the stresses of daily life and feel empowered. Soon she enrolled in 200 hour teacher training program with Noell Clark to deepen her knowledge. After completing her certification in 2017, she started teaching yoga in her neighborhood.
Isha believes that Yoga is an unending process of self-study and exploring your body's potential.
Her classes are a blend of asanas, pranayama and meditation, fit for all fitness levels. She encourages her students to experience each and every pose by providing modifications for different levels of practitioners. Besides teaching yoga, Isha is also a full-time mother.

Daisy Perez

Daisy discovered yoga at just the right time in her life. Not only during a time when she needed it most, but when she was finally open and ready to explore the many benefits of the practice. Daisy found her personal Yoga practice in 2015 and deepened her practice with Noell Clark where she received her 200-hour RYT in 2017. Through yoga she has developed a sense of awareness and compassion for herself as a person unlike any other practice in her life. When teaching she hopes for her students to find balance mentally, physically, and spiritually providing them with a practice that they can embody in their daily lives on and off the mat.

Jen Fortunato

From the moment Jen took her first yoga class in May 2000, she knew she would be a dedicated, life-long student of the practice. As she watched the other students move, her eyes and heart opened to the possibility of discovering a connection between body and spirit. Jen had no idea what she was doing, but she noticed that they were focused and strong and she wanted to know that for herself. Thousands of classes later, her personal practice has been a catalyst for self-acceptance and uncovering truth. As a teacher, Jen aspires to share the freedom and joy in connecting to breath and movement, to help others explore new territory and love who they are, both on and off the mat. In her Vinyasa classes, Jen combines creative but still accessible sequences, clear alignment cues and a dose of inspiration to help students of all levels connect to the power of this practice. Her classes are accompanied by playlists that set a mood for the class experience. For seven years, Jen practiced Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga led by Larry Schultz (It’s Yoga International, San Francisco), founder of Rocket yoga and long-term student of K. Pattabhi Jois. She has since practiced other Vinyasa styles and is inspired by teachers who help her push through fear in her mind and heart. She completed her 200-hour Vinyasa teacher training in 2017 with Noell Clark Yoga and is registered as RYT® 200 with the Yoga Alliance.

Kelly McRitchie

A native to Santa Cruz county, Kelly grew up participating in many different activities: swimming, softball, vaulting, and dance, just to name a few. From a young age, her main love was dance where she trained in tap, jazz, and hip hop and continues to dance hip hop today. Kelly first discovered yoga while studying at Cabrillo College in 1998, but it wasn’t until 2010 that she knew that yoga would be an integral part of her life. Practicing yoga provided an opportunity to reground and reconnect with her breath. She decided to take her practice to the next level by signing up for yoga teacher training with Noell Clark at Downtown Yoga Shala and in 2017 Kelly received her certification and is currently RYT 200 with Yoga Alliance. With a bachelor’s degree in Finance, she has worked in corporate banking for the last 15 years. The stresses of being full-time working mom were overbearing, that is, until yoga came along. Yoga has given Kelly purpose, strength, and most of all happiness. It has provided a sense of calm in the chaos of everyday life. She wants to share that feeling with anyone who is willing to learn and benefit from everything yoga has to offer. Her classes are mindfully designed to link breath and movement in order to cultivate inner peace and strength. Kelly is also passionate about nutrition and has decided to enroll in the Institute of Integrative Nutrition program to become a certified Health Coach.
