Karena is a native Canadian and started her yoga journey at age 4, although she didn’t realize it. As a dancer Karena was learning the significance of breath, proper alignment and the importance of being in the moment. Yoga seemed to be a part of her natural existence. After graduating with a degree in musical theatre, Karena moved down to sunny San Jose and took an opportunity in high tech software. Years later, she woke up one day realizing she no longer breathed properly or sat up straight. This greatly impacted her health and Karena knew she needed to get back to yoga. She wanted to include yoga in her life in a more profound way and decided to deepen her practice. Karena trained with Noell Clark Yoga and graduated in 2017 earning her 200 Hour Vinyasa Flow certificate. Karena is deeply grateful for that opportunity and is excited to share and to give back. Yoga inspires her to live each moment more mindfully and reminds her to always listen to her body. Karena teaches a Vinyasa Flow class and she loves to share inspiring quotes.
