Our comprehensive 200-Hour Intensive Teacher Training program offers a unique opportunity for in-depth study and practice of Holistic Vinyasa Karma Yoga and Ashtanga vinyasa Yoga. This program is open to all and is intended for those who would like to advance their practice and share the joy of yoga in the role of a yoga teacher. Graduates will receive a 200-Hour certificate, and will be eligible to apply for RYT 200 with Yoga Alliance. The 300-Hour program is intended for those who would like to advance their practice and teaching of yoga. Eligible graduates RYT registration with Yoga Alliance. Taught by highly experienced teachers in the Krishnamacharya yoga tradition, this is a unique offering that closely adheres to the traditional origins of yoga from the source.

  • Foundations of Vinyasa Karma and Ashtanga Vinyasa
  • Instructions, practice development, theory and methodology of Vinyasa Karma
  • Alignment, body mechanics and advancing in asanas with in-depth posture clinics
  • Harnessing the power of breath using Pranayama practices
  • Deeper dimensions of yoga including meditation, focus and deep relaxation
  • In-depth study of anatomy and physiology in relation to yoga practices
  • Anatomy of the subtle body including chakras, nadir and marmasthanas
  • Profund Yogic wisdom from Patanjali Yoga Sutras and Bhagavad Gita
  • Yoga and ethics
  • Human connection, inspiration and growth as yogi and teacher
  • Introduction to Sanskrit and chanting
  • Business planning and marketing for yoga teachers

300-Hr Vinyasa/Ashtanga Teacher Training

The 300 Hour program is intended for those who are already RYT-200 certified yoga teachers, who would like to advance their personal and teaching skills. Graduates will receive a 300-Hour certificate, and will be eligible to apply for RYT 500 with Yoga Alliance if they are already registered as RYT 200.

  • Core tenets of Vinyasa Karma and Ashtanga Vinyasa systems of Yoga
  • Multiple practice sequences to lead a variety of yoga class types including five Vinyasa Karma sequences
  • Designing multiple day yoga workshops and programs
  • The art of delivering lecture-demonstrations and presentations on various topics in Yoga
  • Intermediate to advanced practices and posture clinic for inversions and handstands
  • Advanced Pranayama (break-work) practices
  • In-depth Yogic wisdom: Patanjali Yoga Sutras, Bhagavad Gita and Krishnamacharya's Yoga Rahasya

The Teachers

Shriram Sarvotham
PhD, E-RYT-500

Shriram studied with Yogacharya R. Subramanian in Chennai, India, for 14 years. In addition to receiving thorough foundations on yoga asanas (postures), pranayama (breathwork), mantra and meditation practices, he also studied the classical yoga texts including the Patanjali Yoga Sutras, Hatha Yoga Pradipika and the Bhagavad Gita. He continued to deepen his studies under the guidance of renowned Masters including Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Yogacharya Srivatsa Ramaswami and Swami Bodhananda Saraswati. He has taught over 300 yoga workshops and retreats all over the USA and has given lectures and demonstrations at prestigious yoga conferences. He is a faculty of Yoga Teacher Training programs for several yoga institutions and studios. Shriram is a co-founder of "EkaShri Schools of Yoga", a non-profit yoga institution. He is a recipient of the “Exemplary Service Award in Yoga” given by the Consulate General of India, and the “Yoga Service Award” given by ISKCON.

Ekaterina (Eka) Jeleva
RN, FNP, E-RYT-500

Eka has been passionately drawn to yoga since2003 when she embarked on her yoga journey by traveling to India. She studied with manyrenowned teachers including Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and Yogacharya Srivatsa Ramaswami (adisciple of legendary yogi Sri T. Krishnamacharya). Eka also pursued Ayurveda under theguidance of Dr. Vasant Lad and Vaidya Jayarajan Kodikannath. Eka teaches a variety ofyoga styles including Vinyasa Krama and Ashtanga Vinyasa. She has a Masters degree inNursing and works for Stanford Healthcare as a Registered Nurse. Eka is also a certifiedPilates teacher and a certified Ayurvedic Wellness Counselor. Eka is a co-founder of the"EkaShri Schools of Yoga", a non-profit yoga institution.

Veronica Cruz

Veronica is the founder and owner of Downtown Yoga Shala. She studied with renowned yoga masters such as Larry Shultz (Ashtanga Vinyasa), Baron Baptiste (PowerVinyasa), Tim Miller and David Swensen (Ashtanga Yoga) and received teacher certifications from all of them. She continues to study with senior authorized teachers in the Ashtanga lineage and with Sharath Jois in Mysore, India. Veronica infuses her classes with warmth,sincerity, kindness and compassion.
